New versa lite

Hello I purchased a new versa lite and unboxing it had a red X on the screen I downloaded the latest version of the fit bit app to my note 9 and proceed to download the firmware . I went through the whole process and a  White fit bit logo flashed on the screen and it is non responsive. I then went to the app and it said I needed to download another version of firmware. I have been going through this process for approximately 3 days and I don't believe that this is working is their solution?

Hello @Kenyatta are you saying that when you initially turned it on you saw a Red X? Not the Go to https://www.fitbit.com/setup message that you should have seen? 

I suggest trying a factory reset or exchanging at the place of purchase.
