Newly purchased Versa 2 not syncing

I have only had this fitbit for a few weeks as previous tracker (Charge 3), had a black screen and no way of getting it to work and now this one (Versa 2) won't sync and it keeps dropping off my Bluetooth. I have a Sony Xperia xz3. I checked before purchasing that my phone was compatible. No problem until last week. I've undertaken all the suggestions, even removed it from my phone and then had difficulty trying to sync it back on the phone. All my alarms work for me to take my medications but nothing else. Not even texts or phone calls. Please could you help me out? Thank you, kind regards Jane

Hi @JaneMay72, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 is not syncing with your Xperia xz3. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

 

In order to to avoid providing the same information, I'd like to know what troubleshooting steps you have tried.

 

In the meantime, try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest.

 

Finally, monitor your watch and see if it syncs and receives notifications properly.

Morning, I am so sorry for not replying. I have had to reset the Versa 2 twice, disconnected it from my phone several times. When I reset the Versa 2 (pushing in the button on the side of the watch), it works brilliantly for a couple of days but then it doesn't sync, doesn't record any sleep on the app, the calendar not syncing and the steps are different between the watch and app.

 

I have made sure that the sensors are clear of talc / hand cream / soap on the back on the watch. I have even seen whether have the watch strap tight to my wrist or slightly loose would work. Nothing. I'm about to do a third reset today.

 

I chose fitbit as I have never had any problems before. The only good things at the moment are my alarms I've set for my medication and telling the time.

Please, please could you help. I am at a loss as to what to do as all of the resets, syncing have been tried on numerous occasions and nothing is changing.  I purchased the Versa 2 as my Charge 3 screen had gone blank only after 18 months from purchase. I purchased the Versa 2 in early November 2020, and nothing but problems. I don't have the money to waste on these types of products.
