No Text notifications from Iphone XR

After spending hours trying to figure this out, then another hour and a half going through the forums, I reached out to "live chat" about this.

I just bought the Versa light yesterday and set it up.  Everything is working fine except I'm not getting text message notifications  from my Iphone XR.  Call notifications are coming through,email, FB & Instagram, just not text.  After exhausting all options once again with the Live chat person, the only advice they could give me was "watch the community"  What does this mean?  I'm assuming there are lots of others in this boat as well.

@CDTHOMAS I know that not receiving text messages can be frustrating.  Are you on iOS 13?  There is a known issue with iOS 13 and text messages not coming through to the watch.  Explore this link here for troubleshooting.  Unfortunately, this issue is on Apple's end and there's not much else that can be done.  I have purposely avoided updating to iOS 13 for this reason.

Yes, I’m on iOS 13.3 and have tried absolutely everything!  How do you know it’s on Apple’s end? (Just curious)

Hi @CDTHOMAS I highly doubt it, this issue stems from over this past summer and not resolution has been found and obviously customer service has no idea what’s going on either. 

Do me a favor though. Head over to your iPhone *Settings*
Notifications - show previews - then turn it to *ALWAYS* 

I leave my phone on silent and when people text me it just shows *text message* when their name pops up. This method shows the texts in your phone but hopefully you still receive the notification on your Fitbit.
