No device found in fitbit app. (Versa 2)

Just got a Versa 2 for Christmas and set it up yesterday, Sunday 1/5. Having problems syncing, bluetooth issues. App always says cannot find device. I can't change anything on the watch because the app never finds it. This is why I have been so confused. Watch tells me to go to the app, I go to the app and I'm like what are you talking about? Found out it's because the app is not recognizing the watch on my wrist, less than a foot away. We shouldn't have to reset stuff everyday for our $150 devices to work. Even though this hasn't fixed my issue. Any fix yet, it is now already 2020. My phone works perfectly fine and my Bluetooth is great. It's a fitbit issue, either the app or the fitbit itself. Please help.

Hi @Jon325 The other thing it could possibly be (and I think most likely) is a compatability issue between your phone and Fitbit. What phone are you using?

This is happening to me every day as well. iPhone 11 with iOS 13.3. Not really an unknown device or OS.

12:30am it was connected and syncing. 6:30am, device not found. Both Fitbit and iPhone were on the entire time.

and nothing I do fixes the issue. Hard reset on fitbit, kill app and restart. Nada.

I agree with original poster, shouldn’t have to reset anything every day to get this thing to sync.

I've had this happen to me on my Note 9 too ...   Restarting my phone seemed to help, although for me it wasn't happening all the time .. just hit or miss.

Expensive fix, but I did get a newer phone and I have no more issues.
Since your phone is new I'd check your connectivity settings and maybe try
turning off the always syncing option. On my previous phone, it was
draining the battery massively even though it would never sync with the
app. On my new phone it's working like it should. It should be more clear
what device requirements are needed for it to function properly. You have a
newer phone though so I'm not sure what's going on there. For me, I just
decided it was finally time to upgrade to a different phone.

I just got the Versa 2 and am having the same issue with my older Android tablet. My husband has a newer tablet and he now has to sync for me. Not ideal but it works. I am not buying a new tablet just to sync up and not taking his tablet because of all my stuff in my tablet and his stuff in his.

My iPhone is less than one year old, my Firbit Versa 2 less than six months old, I have Fitbit Premium (Foolishly) still every morning I have reset. Lot of $$ for this aggravation

same thing.  IPhone (6 months old), Bluetooth works with everything else but I have reset every morning! Ridiculous!

I called FitBit's Customer Service and got a lovely young woman who was
great help. Long story short: my older tablet wasn't strong enough for my
new FB. Did a bunch of uninstalls and my husband's newer tablet was the one
I used until I got a newer one. Call and get their help.

That’s ridiculous! If my iPhone XR which is less than a year old and my
iPad which is less than 6 months old are just not current enough for Fitbit
Versa 2 all of the sudden that’s absurd. I could buy an Apple Watch and a
back up personal assistant and be more cost and time efficient.
