No support after versa stops working :(

I am really frustrated as I updated my versa software two weeks ago, happily changed the clock face then my versa battery stops charging. I plugged the watch to charge, it would indicate that it is charging by no power storage. Then 5 days ago, the unimaginable, my versa was on 4% then it completely shut down. 

 

My real frustration is that Fitbit Support just said, my watch is out of warranty (literally 1 year and 1 month after purchase) and therefore they cannot assist. This is unacceptable. 

 

Fitbit community - help a sister -- what should I do now?

After I applied the latest update my versa won't recharge. Totally dead no response at all to anything.

Dead when I try an recharge it.

Dead when I try an reset it.

Linked to an Android and a iPad Pro before it died.

 

If there is no fix for this I'll buy something from another company to replace it.
