Today between 10 and 11 am I was shopping, spent the hour walking all over a large store, Fitbit logged maybe 100 steps. Would a loose watch band cause this?

Yes I was pushing a cart, but this is the first time it's had that effect. I'll watch it in the future. Thanks

Loose band might cause heart rate not being read but should not affect steps.

Were you pushing a shopping cart?  Sometimes that prevents steps from being detected because the wrist is held steady instead of swinging as normal when walking.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
