Not holding a charge

I’ve had my Fitbit for a year and it started to not hold a charge for very long even if fully charged to 100%. 
also the heart rate will not work.

Please clean the contacts


Then Do a Restart

Also See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery
