Not logging miles.

Hi. 
I’m sorry if the answer to this question is out there somewhere but I’ve spent far too long looking for something that matches what I’m looking for. 
For some reason my dashboard doesn’t record mileage for individual walks. I can ascertain mileage for the day via my watch. (Versa 2) but nothing for individual pieces of exercise which is very important to me. I’m currently using the app on an iPhone, app is version 3.20. If it helps, I don’t pick a particular piece of exercise I just crack on and let the Fitbit identify it itself. Please help before I revert back to a Samsung gear.

May I ask @Biginga which of the 3 possible ways you use to record your walks? 

If your letting Fitbit decide that your taking a walk, then yes, as your owners manual points out, distance will not be calculated. 

You will need to use the walk function on the tracker.
