Not receiving text message notifications on Fitbit Versa 2

I am not receiving text message notifications on my Fitbit Versa 2. I am getting phone call notifications, and snapchat notifications, but not text message. I was under the impression that I would be able to read my text messages but not fully reply to them. It was one of the main reasons why I purchased this. VERY disappointed.

I am not getting texts either.  Maybe a firmware update.  How do I check if I am upto date?

Samsung Galaxy s7. Messenger +. Fitbit is receiving notification of text message but when I select to open, it disappears. I CAN NOT READ TEXT MESSAGE

I’m experiencing the same as @jesssarah . I have a Versa 2. Just got it yesterday. I can receive phone call notifications but no Text notifications. I have an IPhone 7. . My firmware is 35.70.7.14
