Fitbit Lite switching off while on run exercise

What causes the Fitbit versa lite to switch off and on while on run mode?

@Nkosiza, welcome to our Fitbit Community! Since you mentioned that your Versa Lite turns off during the run mode, I would like to know if it turns off completely and you need to start it up again or if it just turns off the display and you need to tap it in order to view the run mode information.

This info will help me to avoid any confusion on my end and provide the correct assistance.

In the meantime, try a regular restart as described in this help article. After this, monitor your watch and see if the issue gets fixed.

It switches off and restarts the run from scratch..so i will end up having
multiple runs instead of a 21km run

@Nkosiza, I'm sorry for the late response. However, I appreciate the information you provided.

I'd like you to try one more workaround that has been helpful for this type of issues. Try a factory reset. To do so on your device, open the Settings app > About > Factory Reset or Clear User Data. Please sync your watch before this in order to avoid losing current data.

Finally, monitor your Versa Lite again and check out if it doesn't switch off during your exercise.

I tried to reboot and clear data..it won't swith back on...i am very
dissapointed with the fitbit experience..will never buy the Fitbit product
ever again
