I get phone calls and can even answer those but when the text message notification comes up it doesn't show the message ... I've tried going in my phone to anything that says notification and tried to turn my message on but nothing seems to work!

@SunsetRunner Make sure that Preview of the message is enabled - go to your messaging app settings, and enable Preview on the screen. By default, Samsung phones have it disabled, which means message can't be seen on the phone's screen and Versa cannot read it.

It's great to welcome you @MelWhite68427.
Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. If you are not seeing the body of the text message you received, I recommend trying the following:
I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. ![]()

@Beej2127 You mean it's not showing text messages or any notifications?

In App Notifications, scroll all the way down and select More Settings and that brings you to "Preview Message"

I just got a Fitbit Versa. I have an Android Samsung Galaxy 8+
I get the notification of a message.. can even do the "quick reply" however I can't read the text.
I read the notice here about allowing preview.. set that on my phone.
It's still not working.
When I get a text message.. and click on "open".. it just goes back to the clock face.

Is there anyway to turn this on without selecting "Preview Message"? I prefer to not have the message previewed on my phone. I'm fine with just an alert that I got a text message on my watch. It doesn't need to read the entire message.

@SunsetRunner As long as there is notification in the Notification bar on your phone you should be fine. Experiment with the settings. I am sure there's a way to set the notification to private so the body of the message is not displayed.

Just got the fibit lite! Works great, receiving notifications for fb Messenger, what’s app, phone calls etc but text messages notifications are not coming through! Looking at other comments obviously a big issue 🙈 I have done everything and it’s not working! Really frustrating as the biggest reason for buying it is to get texts when I’m working, without having my phone in my hand! Has anyone sorted this out? And if so how?! Not really finding any answers only to make sure all settings are correct, they are

So I have had my Fitbit Versa for a year. It worked great at text messages/calls the first 3 months and then just stopped all of a sudden. I did all of the above, and called support, and they kept telling me they were “working on a fix”. They finally told me that they were having trouble with the iOS systems and really didn’t know if they would ever be able to get it all sorted out. I, like you, bought it for that specific reason because I needed a cheaper alternative to the Apple Watch. It’s frustrating. I haven’t bought a new one because every thing else works great, but I’m considering biting the bullet and getting an Apple Watch.

I have the same problem. I've talked to support and nothing. I did a factory reset and nothing. I don't know what to do. I feel like I wasted money now.

I've done all of that and it still doesn't work. I can receive the text message but I cant open them. when I try it wont open it just goes to my clock and it will open up on my phone. I get emails just fine. this is what I bought the watch for is to read the text messages and I cant. I feel like I wasted money.
