Not tracking my route

I’ve done all the troubleshooting and checking off for gps connection and selecting the wxercise on my wristband. I’ve taken screen shots of whennitnworked and when it didn’t. Regardless if I check off auto detect or not it still says the gps will not be activated. Please help. If I have to reset Ron factory defaults and lose history etc. I’m willing to make it start working. Please let me know how to send my screen shots if you need.

@Bdadalt Welcome! It's good that the community is growing!  Sorry to hear that your phone isn't recording your GPS data using the Versa and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Which phone do you have? Is it compatible? Before you do a Factory Reset try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Let me know how it goes!

Thanks you for responding. I have an iPhone 6 and I’ve removed restarted and reinstalled the pairing. I’m going to take it for a walk today and test it out. If this doesn’t work I don’t know what else to think other than there’s a Bluetooth issue. I’ll keep ya posted. Thanks!

8834B2ED-1759-4393-AA68-DF723F85C0E4.pngSo I went for my 10 km walk and it only charted a small portion of it. Tells me I did 10 k but no route. The route is important. That’s why I wanted the Versa. So below is what it looks like  I tried calling customer service and got disconnected I guessing I have to try again  they’re supposed to call me back

Hello!

I am having the exact same problem with my Versa, and I also have the iPhone 6. I got the same partial route map 😫 I only saw 1 reply. Did anyone resolve this for you??

Thank you!

Yes they did help me trouble shoot it. What I find is I need to refresh the Fitbit app on my phone first then it will sense the watch and it connects then I will start the exercise. They had me restart the watch as part of the troubleshooting. I don’t remember all the details but their emails with instructions were thorough and the customer service was very good. Good luck!

Thanks! I’ve done all of that since seeing your first post. I will now try the refresh (that I do every am anyway) exactly before I push the exercise go-am going snowshoeing today so I’ll let you know!

😊Since we’ve connected, do you know if walk and hike on the exercise choices are supposed to map the route like the “run” is supposed to? I read on one of the many articles that all exercises don’t necessarily do that...?

I don’t run. I just use hike for snowshoeing as it’s more energy than a walk. I also haven’t researched the device much yet.
