Notification Service not running...

Hi I've recently updated to the new-look Fitbit app and since then I have lost notifications ability (Phone calls, sms, calendar, etc) on my Versa (first gen).  I am currently running Android (Version 9) on my phone. In the Fitbit app under notifications it says, "Notifications not running. A phone restart is required...".  Phone restarts do not change anything and I've tried deleting and reinstalling the Fitbit app.. Nothing it's working. Also tried a factory reset on my Versa. No change.

Hi @Bske96, welcome to the community.

The only thing I can think of checking is the following -

In the settings app on your phone type in "notification access" in the search bar - tap on the result that comes up "notification access" - confirm the toggle is enabled for Fitbit.

I have the same issue this morning. Never had it before.

It's not just you.

Checked and the toggle is enabled for Fitbit. It was working before.

Have you tried clearing the cache for the fitbit app? Setting - Apps - Fitbit - Storage - clear cache.

Clearing the (6mb) cache didn't work, though thanks for the suggestion. It has only been used for 3 days on this phone.

I get the same message on my old phone.

Just a thought. Did you happen to try uninstall and reinstall the app?

My husband has the same issue with his Versa and a different phone. It's not a specific Versa or phone, it's more widespread.

I have commented on there, as a Fitbit staff member has replied.
