I have tried all of the actions and guides but I cannot get Watsapp notifications on my watch. When I go into App Notifications to add Watsapp it is blank and nothing is there. It is really frustrating me now as I can’t work it out. I’ve been over and over the guide. Reset the watch, reset the Fitbit app. Please can someone help!

Hello @BeckyStopps

You need to get at least one notification from WhatsApp before it will show up in your Fitbit notification options. Have you received one yet? If you have and it’s still not working I’d try reinstalling the Fitbit App. You won’t lose any data doing so. Certainly worth a shot.

Reinstalling the Fitbit App might prompt the initialization of linking the fitbit to phone permissions again. Log out of the Fitbit App, turn off your Bluetooth, restart your phone the turn your Bluetooth back on. Reinstall the Fitbit App then log back in to the app as you normally would.

Now tap on your profile picture, scroll down and tap Versa 2 then scroll down and tap notifications. Ensure all your notifications are enabled. Now, while on the same page tap App notifications and enable your desired apps. Sync your Versa 2 to accept any changes you have made.

😃 I really hope this helps and gets your WhatsApp working for you. Please let me know if this helps

Hello again @BeckyStopps

Can you check the settings on your phone;

  1. On your phone's settings, tap Notifications.
  2. Scroll down and tap WhatsApp.
  3. Make sure:
Notification Center is selected under Alerts.
Show Previews is set to either Always or When Unlocked.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  5. Try receiving a WhatsApp notification now to test your Versa 2

Look at this settings as well:

1. Go to your Bluetooth and find Versa 2

2. Tap on the blue information icon to the right of Versa 2

3. Turn on Share System Notifications.

😉Please let me know if this helps.

Thank you, I have tried all of that and still nothing. In App Notifications it is still blank. What can I do now? The watch was bought for the function of getting messages and now it’s not able to get Watsapp. Should I contact someone for a replacement under warranty?

Hello again @BeckyStopps

You can certainly contact Fitbit Customer Service:

USA: call (877) 623-4997
UK: call 0800 069 8505
INDIA: call 000 800 050 1057
IRELAND: call 01 691 7502 (country prefix: +353)

More information can be found here: https://myhelp.fitbit.com/s/support?language=en_US

Because WhatsApp is a third party app I’m not sure if it would be considered a warranty issue honestly but it certainly doesn’t hurt to call them. They might even assist you further in getting the WhatsApp running for you as well.

I’m sorry I was unable to help you directly but hopefully pointing you in the right direction did indeed help.n
