Notifications & Connectivity has failed again

Versa > Activities > walk 'connecting'.  I am too now wearing Garmin forerunner 245 'for comparison' & have been these past 2 weeks.

Garmin connects instantly.  I disable Garmin & FitBit connections in case this is a Bluetooth conflict.

I disable all other Bluetooth connections.

Again start walk on Versa - nope. Failed to connect.  Started activity on Garmin & set off.

Meanwhile, Versa is still at connecting and remained at that status for the entire distance. I check everything as I am walking - Bluetooth, authorisations etc.  All are set correctly. Dashboard steps, distance. floors & calories are being tallied & updated as I walk so I know & I can see Versa is Bluetoothed.

End of walk activity is there in FitBit dashboard log as 'walk'. No map. No mile split times. Nothing else.

It too failed to sync with Strava - Garmin did.

Whilst  walking Garmin Forerunner is getting social media, text & calls notifications.

Versa is not. Nothing. It is not doing anything as it should be.

This is a 'new warranty replaced Versa <2 months old'.

I arrive home, do full reset uninstall reinstall app etc., & all works fine again.

I check again for Bluetooth conflicts by starting Garmin then FitBit on walks.  Both connect this time.

I do not have the time free to be doing full resets on such & too regular a basis. Anything from 30 to 1 hour 'my day wasted' depending how busy network traffic is.

Versa is now on charge & will be placed into the redundant tech drawer 'as back up' in an airtight container with silicone pads. This is to remove any moisture. Silicone pads help prevent moisture circuit board degradation & damage.  In that container there are too Blaze & Surge trackers.

I did & do not want to leave FitBit.  I have lost +110lb since 2014 and since 2016 FitBit has helped me track & record that journey.

Blaze, Surge then Versa1 Thousands of hours of gym studio workouts. Versa1 upgrade was because I needed GPS & it stayed charged & connected for an entire 100k walk. Surge then Versa1 have between them recorded 9 1/2 marathons. Versa1 'failed on my 10th lost connection' & it is why Garmin was procured.

Garmin worked around iOS13 update 'they had & still are having issues too' but nothing as are those FitBit are having.

The Duck waddles off....

Blaze, Surge, Ionic and Versa1. I am not a FitBit employee.
