Why does my notifications only show up on my fitbit versa when i am connected to wifi?

Hi, I do not know why you only receive notifications when on WiFi, cause the interaction between your mobile device and your Versa is via BT. How did you setup your Fitbit app and Versa? It's strange. I have only one notification enabled and once it needs to give me the notification, my Versa vibrates and shows it it without being connected to WiFi.
