Notifications don't work

I got a versa few days ago. It syncs fine but I don't get any notifications like calls and texts which I have selected. I troubleshooted following instructions found in fitbit.com to no avail. I also wanted weather updates but that doesn't work either. I am returning it to the store this weekend. So disappointed.
