Notifications no longer vibrate

Hi everyone,

Since Friday June 21 my Versa no longer vibrates when there is a notification. However, at the time I get notifications, I am still able to navigate to the new notification on the Versa. My partner also has a Versa and both our Versa's have been working fine before Friday (except for the known 'notifications not deleting'). We have not adjusted any settings on our phones or FitBit app. Notifications and bluetooth are still turned on.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the difficulties your partner and you are experiencing with your Fitbit Versa devices. Thank you for confirming that the notifications and Bluetooth are turned on and you haven't changed any settings. I recommend doing the following:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Reset Bluetooth (turn off, wait 10 seconds, turn on and sync your device).
  3. Restart your Versa by following the instructions in How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  4. Refresh Notifications.
    1. Tap the Today tab and tap your profile picture.
    2. Tap Notifications.
    3. Turn off all notifications
    4. Restart your phone.
    5. Open the Fitbit app and turn notifications back on.
  5. Set up Notifications again.
    1. Tell your phone to "forget" your device, removing the connection between the phone and the Fitbit device.
      1. On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and find your Fitbit device in the list.
      2. Find an option to forget the device.
    2. Open the Fitbit app and set up notifications again.

Keep me posted on the outcome!

I have been having the same problem as listed here. I have done everything suggested below but I am still not receiving notifications when I receive texts or calls. The Bluetooth is fine because I can easily sync my Versa to my iPhone XR, it's just not buzzing or showing notifications. If I swipe down, I can see the notifications there but that doesn't help me know when I get one. Please help!

Welcome to the forums @SandySuzy.

Thank you for joining the conversation and sharing the details of the issue you're experiencing with receiving notifications on your Fitbit Versa. Thank you for following the troubleshooting steps. Please make sure that the Notification setting on your Versa is set to "On": from the clock screen, hold the back button and swipe to the quick settings screen. I also would like to confirm if your watch vibrates for other things like alarms.

Please keep me posted.

I have read all your instructions and they make no sense to me. I have no profile picture and pushing the buttons you recommend do not do what you suggest. I am not even sure how to force quit my app. I have iphone 8+. I had this problem once before and simply resetting my Versa worked to correct. Very frustrating for me to have the issues of no notifications as I often don't have my phone close by. I have checked on settings and notifications are on and vibrate is high.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @cornebear. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that you're experiencing the issue with notifications. Thank you for your troubleshooting efforts. I understand that this can be very frustrating and I am here to help you. I would like to confirm if you're not receiving notifications at all? If so, usually a missing requirement is the cause and I recommend confirming the steps to set up notifications in this help article: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? Move on to the troubleshooting steps if the issue persists.

You can force quit (restart) the app by doing the following:

1. Double tap the home button on your iOS device. Your open apps will show on your device's screen.
2. Close the Fitbit app by swiping the app image in an upward motion.
3. Reopen the Fitbit app.

Please keep me posted!

I’ve forced quit several times.

If I scroll down my notifications show up, but they don’t appear when I initially get a message or call at all.
