I have a Samsung phone and for the past week or two I have not been able to receive any notifications on my watch. When I go to the notifications settings in the FitBit app after selecting the watch, there is a notice at the top that starts "notifications will not work on device until your phone is restarted" I have restarted my phone many times and gone through the troubleshooting on my phone and still no notifications and the same message appears in that menu. Would impairing and repairing work? And would I lose all the stats I have synced?

I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa is not receiving notifications from your Samsung. By the way, I appreciate the time spent trying the troubleshooting steps you mentioned above before contacting our forums.
I'd like to know what is the model of your Samsung phone. In the meantime, please try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest.
