Notifications not working properly on my Versa

I have the fitbit versa, its a couple of years old at this point. The watch will sporadically stop working in terms of notifications. I will either get no notifications on it, or I will get three of the exact same notification on it. I tried going through support but they were COMPLETELY unhelpful. Every single support agent I spoke to has told me to reset the same settings six different times and it is not working. 

 

Anyone else experience this? Anything is  more helpful than support at this point.
