Pairing Syncing intermittent

First the stats:

iphone XR - Software 12.3.1

Versa Version 33.1.30

Current App version for iPhone

Fitbit worked flawlessly for four months or so.  Recently it has started having issues communicating with the App.  First time the issue happened was a bike ride.  Lost GPS connection after 3 miles on a course I ride and track frequently.  The issue started occurring more frequently.  Then just general syncing issues (no notifications either - text, calls, emails) started happening and are now a daily occurence almost.  Reboot Versa, close the app and restart, disconnect and turn off bluetooth.  Reconnect and restart all,  Sometimes two or three times to get it to work.

When it is not working here is what I see -

1) heart rate on the app is working

2) steps stat on the app is up to date

3) GPS will not connect for exercising

3) Go to "Versa" in the app and "All day sync" (turned on) and "Notifications" have the spinning wheel running beside them and the app will request "iPhone needs to Pair with Versa"

4) Go to iphone settings>Bluetooth and it shows the Versa is connected

This is when I start turning things off and rebooting the Versa with eventual success but having to do this daily is not a solution.  Any help would be appreciated.

I am having the same issue. I tried the same things but I can’t get it to work at all. The time on my Fitbit is wrong too!

I had that issue as well (similar). I purchased a clock face that has weather.  It would just show a dash line for each of the three days forecasted meaning no data.  After multiple reboots with no solution I finally chose a different watch face, synced, then reinstalled the weather watch face and was able to get it to work.  I did have to search old emails for the original watch face purchase (K-pay is the payment vendor app for my watch face) since there is an issue with the fitbit app remembering your purchase.  You can request a new code from the watch face vendor so you don't have to purchase again (even though it is only a couple of bucks).

I have had luck by doing the following:

- on iPhone -  completely close the fitbit app,

- then under settings>bluetooth "forget the device",

- turn off bluetooth for at least 10 seconds

- turn bluetooth back on

Versa:

-  Reboot the versa while iphone bluetooth is firing back up (hold the reboot buttons until the screen goes off, then lights back up, then goes off a second time - now it is fully shutdown),

- turn the versa on pressing and release the button on the left side of the watch

Make sure the bluetooth connects to the Versa, then fire up the fitbit app and try it all again.

Looking at this board over the last few days I certainly hope fitbit is working on solutions. I know how good the system can be as I have had mine for about 5 months with very minimal issues.  I will wait it out for a bit to see if they respond.  I really don't want to buy an apple watch.  If I could restore previous version of firmware and or software I would be happy. (Assuming that is where the issue lies).
