Hello @SunsetRunner, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the forums. Please note that in order to transfer music to your Versa, you need a computer with a Wi-Fi connection and the free Fitbit desktop app, it's not possible to transfer them directly from the phone to the watch itself. Choose between the following options:

*Windows 10 PC and the Fitbit app
*Mac or Windows 7/8 PC and the Fitbit Connect app

Now, for detailed instructions about how to transfer your personal music, please check @ErickFitbit's excellent post. I'm sure it will be very helpful for you as it also includes troubleshooting steps in case you need them.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

So, all my music is on my iPhone and there’s no way to transfer it other than set up iTunes (on a laptop or PC I don’t have) and download the music onto said laptop and then send it to my watch? In this day and age of technology? I’m sorry but you should consider enabling this feature in your next app update. We are paying a good price for these devices.

Erick's Fitbit excellent post is for the Ionic, but what about for the Versa?

I agree. Why in the world can’t I just move music from my iPhone to my versa?  I have 10,000 pictures, 125 videos and a crap load of music- it would take eons on my home desktop while it tries to back up all my crap? I have a cloud - I don’t need to back up to my desktop, well I do now if I want music without my iPhone....I might as well have just schlepped my phone around for all the good the Versa is doing me without access to my music. Boo

Looks like you have to rely on Deezer or Pandora.

Don't worry though. The transfer of mp3s via Win10 or Mac is a nightmare - it basically does not work at all. Be happy you saved hours of frustration.

The Deezer option (3 months premium for free) does not work properly either.

To me, it just seems like Fitbit has thrown the Versa on the market without fully testing it. Early customers are treated as beta testers - an all too common abuse of customers these days.

Anyhow, go give Deezer a try if you like.

Wasn’t entirely happy with the reply as would have liked an easy solution to loading music which is far from satisfactory. Considering the cost of the watch it is very disappointing.

Have decided not to load music for the time being. Hopefully Fitbit will sort and send out an update as a priority.

see my response in the other thread for music. I used Windows 10 PC and worked ok once Bluetooth on PC and phone turned off. NOt super fast but worked. now have about 130 songs on the watch and love the freedom from phone during workouts!

Really? I wish I had done more research then prior to purchasing the Versa. This is awful! I have a chromebook, an iPad and an iPhone, but you are now telling me that the only way I utize musi on my phone is to go buy a computer (ridiculous) to transfer all my music to so that the music can then be transferred to my watch? This is something you need to fix. I will not be recommending this purchase to anyone! Should have gone with the Apple Watch 😤

Agreed. Waste of money. Wish I would have gotten an I-Phone as well. Total waste.

Hi, everyone!

@Gretannie At the moment, in order to download personal music to your Versa, you need to have either a Mac or PC to complete the music transfer. I know this isn't ideal for many users, so please consider voting for this popular feature suggestion. Our team is aware of the current challenges for music download and we're looking at ways to improve this for the future.

I agree. i just requested a return label last night. Guess i'll give in to Apple once again

This feature really needs to be updated to allow transfer from iPad or phone.  I’ve not opened my personal laptop in 3 years and this makes me wish I’d purchased an Apple Watch now.

How did you figure it out? Please tell.

My remedy was returning it and getting the Apple Watch

That didn’t answer the question. Question was how to transfer music from iPad to Versa

I just got my Versa today and I totally agree with you! I was so excited to get it and it’s just a glorified Alta. I really hope there is an update soon to fix this! (Let me know if you hear they have one)
