Phone keeps saying restart

My phone constantly says I must restart it for the fitbit to get messages or call. Tried the test call and it works but doesn't when some one messages me. I had this for Christmas and it has worked OK but last couple of days its not.

Hello @Getfitmum24, it's good to see you around in the forums. Sorry for the late response. 

Thank you for all the information about your Versa that is not receiving the notifications.

Are you getting any specific error message, asking you to restart the watch? Does it say anything else? 

Before considering other options, please make sure to confirm if the phone you're using is listed here as a compatible device  to sync with the Fitbit app: Which devices are compatible with the fitbit app?

In addition, please check all the necessary requirements and if you already tried all the steps listed here  to resolve problems with notifications: Why are notifications delayed or missing?
