Phone wont support device notifications

I have just bought a Versa Lite.

Not displaying any notifications from my mobile.

Contacted Fitbit about this.

I have a Samsung Galaxy J5+

Fitbit told me that this phone wont support notifications.

Need to get new phone.

Not fussed about a fancy phone, but don't want to waste money on a phone that wont send notifications to my Fitbit.

Is there a list of phone that don't support notifications, before I buy a new one ?

here is something a moderator posted about phones being compatible:
