Plastic tab

I just opened my Versa fresh from the box. There appears to be some type of clear bluish plastic tab sticking out of the bezel near one of the buttons. Is this a problem? I hate the feel of brushing it with my finger, but  afraid to pull on it, as it feels quite stuck.

It is clearly not a screen protector. Go with what Support have you do, of it you bought it at a local store return it for an exchange. You are right, you shoukd have problems on a new item, but things DO happen.

It sounds like a clear piece of plastic protecting the screen, with a tab to to help removing it.  See if it peels back easily, rather than pulling on it.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hi @Kalohm343 That sounds a bit odd (and very annoying!) And not right either - no tabs sticking out on mine when new. I would NOT pull on it as it may destroy the waterproofing. Either cut it it off with a sharp knife, or (what Id be inclined to do) return it to where you got it from for an exchange. If it came from the online Fitbitnstore, then contact Support (link in my signature)

Can a photo be posted?

That's definitely what I'm hoping, but I am having no luck peeling either.

The mobile site appears incapable of allowing me to post a picture, so I'll have to wait a while to upload. Tried watching a couple of box opening videos, and neither had my issue, so I'm guessing it's some defect. I don't understand how I have such luck with buying defective electronics.

Feels like the thread kind of died overnight, any additional input now that there's pictures?

That tab being colored looks like you should be able to pull it off. All thee trackers I've received came with a protective shield and with the colored tab I would say to pull on the tab to remove the shield.

Short of using needle-nose pliers, that is not coming off. I can't peel or pull with any success.

Then use scissors for the nails or an exact I knife and cut the tab off consider it a screen protector but I know since it is colored it should come off

Tweezers?

Newer close-ups that I sent to the customer service agent. Tried tweezers, won't work. The plastic is now disfigured from me pulling at it and scraping with my fingernails. I'm worried cutting it will just scratch the glass or casing and not even remove everything, and really, I shouldn't have to deal with these issues from a brand new product.

It looks like it has gotten glued on with the glass
