So over this. Clearly this is a known issue because reading through the forum so many ppl having exactly the same problem. For the price we pay and then having to pay premium on top of this to use all the features it's absolutely NOT good enough!
On thursday I updated my firmware as soon as it finished the watch went dead. Totally dead. Non responsive not even On the charger. I looked around and found the press 3 buttons solution. This seemed to fix it for a short time. Then Saturday morning I woke up to it dead on my wrist. I thought that was strange because I thought it had plenty of charge. Put it in the charging cradle any way and went about my morning. About 15mins later looked at it and it said 95% ... I thought weird, put it on and went about my day. About 2hrs later went to look at the time. Tried the three buttons, single button everything. Nothing worked. Got home put it in the charging cradle and it restarted saying 100% charge. If I take it off the charging cradle it dies and when I plug it in again goes through the restart process with the fitbit logo again. So not a faulty screen. I decide to shut it down via the menu and turn it back on again. This worked got about 2hrs and then dead again.
Put it back on charger and decided to try a factory reset. Have to keep it in the charger for it to stay on, start the factory reset process. Fitbit goes to turn on again and now has an error message with a red cross saying data not cleared please sync and try again. The problem is it won't sync so it is stuck on this. I am livid. This is CLEARLY an issue with the firmwear and it's not good enough.

Interesting that fitbit moderators are skipping over this buy have answered posts made after this one. Consistent with the poor support also reported by so many users. Appalling.
