(Using a Fitbit Versa) Whilst using the exercise setting for cycling, the recording of the actual km cycled and speed is always incorrect. The route travelled is accurately marked on the GPS but the data usually shows less than half the actual distance travelled. How can I rectify this situation?

@1404 Does Versa drop GPS connection at any point? Have you compared the distance tracked by Fitbit and let's say Strava, recording the activity side by side? Also does Fitbit record any steps during biking? If yes, try multiplying them by your stride length and comparing with the distance Versa shows.

GPS doesn't appear to drop out and yes number of steps are recorded. Will try your suggestion. Wish this wasn't necessary. Hoping that Versa would do it automatically. Still having to resort to using the wireless cycling odometer on my bicycle and manually adding the data to my versa dashboard.
Thanks

@1404 I know it's a hassle, but at this point I guess we're trying to figure out the cause so we can let customer support know. I'm sure it will get addresses with the update, but it would be good to know what actually is going on. I haven't used Versa for biking, so cannot say anything.

Yes. Need to check updates. Not sure how to do this, but will try.
Thanks 1404.

@1404 A new firmware update is slowly being rolled out. It's still being buggy especially with 3rd party apps, so it might take a while. Once it's ready, a notification will pop up in your Fitbit mobile app.
