Problems with brand new Versa

Got a new Versa Special edition last week. After using for a few days I am realizing that Notifications do not work properly. It seems to work at times and not most of the time, haven't understood any pattern there. Did some trouble shooting by reading resposes of others who faced similar problems, but wasn't successful. Help please.
