I am interested in the Versa Lite. But have some questions. Not sure if they can be answered as the product hasn't been released yet. However those with the regular versa may be able to answer some of the questions.
1. What does not having an altimeter affect other than counting flights of stairs? I have the charge 3 which has it but I don't really need to know how many flights of stairs I've climbed during the day. But not sure what else might be affected not having this.
2. Will not having Wifi affect the apps or the amount of apps I can add to it? I know fitbit says the wifi is mainly for music which I don't use so don't really need it. But not sure how apps and clock faces are downloaded to the watch or if either of those things need the wifi. So not sure exactly what no wifi ability will really affect.
3. With no music storage option obviously there will be less storage space on the Lite. Will it affect how many apps can be stored on the watch?
Thanks so much!

@Mizmelzy Hello! Great to see you stop by the Versa/Versa Lite board. These are some really good questions I'm sure others might be wondering as well.
For a snapshot comparison of the two models, I recommend checking out the comparison page available on the web store. Once there select Versa and Versa Lite so you can see the differences between the two.
For the rest of your questions:
1) Tracking floors/elevation is truly a personal preference. If you don't really track it yourself already then you can probably do without it. I know however some users really like to track this feature.
2) Since Versa Lite does not include Wifi, this will mainly affect any firmware downloads to the watch or app downloads since they will be transferred solely through Bluetooth. If you have a great Bluetooth connection with your mobile device already this shouldn't be a problem.
3) Versa Lite has the capability to download the same amount of apps as standard Versa/Versa SE. You can download up to 39 apps.
Hope this helps you out! Let me know if you still have questions.

I'll handle the first question now. Stair count is the only thing affected by altimeter. And stairs is a stand-alone stat that does not affect anything else.

That's what I thought but wanted to make sure.

Point 2 and 3) no affect at all. In fact the storage for music on the regular Versa is separated from the one for apps. Hence removing such storage is leaving the apps storage intact.
So no fear from your doubts.

Can we have the following questions answered to please?
1. Does the watch face have been updated with stronger glass so it does not break so easily?
2. Is it the exact same hardware in the watch or have they fixed or updated some of the sensors that dont seem to work perfectly? (ie: GPS Connecting or sleep tracking)
I would love to buy a versa for my wife and the lite would be great especially at that price but i am not sure i want her to go thru what i have been thru with the Versa.(which works ok now but not perfect)

@SunsetRunner Hey, there! I'm happy to help out with your questions.
Versa Lite contains the exact same hardware as the standard Versa. There have been no changes made to this new iteration. If this is of any concern, please keep in mind we have a great 45-day return policy. It might still be worth picking up for your wife and if she's not satisfied you can return it to us.
I'll be around if anyone else is curious about the new Versa Lite!

I wanted to add that, in addition to tracking "floors climbed", an altimeter allows tracking of "elevation gain", which could be a useful stat if you do a lot of hiking, trail running, or walking the hills of San Francisco 😊
Note: For anyone who finds this thread and actually wants to know the difference between the features of the Fitbit Versa and Fitbit Versa Lite Edition, I wrote an easy to read comparison. You can find it on my website here: https://wearablewhisperer.com/fitbit-versa-vs-versa-lite/#features
