i noticed that there’s a quick reply option on the fitbit app but whenever i receive a message, i don’t have an option to reply. i’m not sure if you’re able to reply with iPhone (i have an iPhone 8).

As you suspected, it is because you have an iPhone.  Unfortunately quick replies do not work with IOS, only with Android.  That is not Fitbit trying for favor Android; it is something within IOS that Fitbit cannot work around to make it work.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
