Quick Settings screen popping up

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I went swimming last weekend with my Versa.  When I was done, the Quick Settings screen kept popping up and the center button stopped working.  I reset my Versa and it continues to be a burden.  It happens so frequently that I can't stand to wear my Versa.  It even happens at night when I am sleeping.  My Versa is only 1.5 years old and is a replacement of the original face that I bought and would never hold a charge.  This is completely unacceptable  I would really like this resolved ASAP.

Hi @ypsitmommy, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. Since the restart process didn't fix this situation, please try our factory reset procedure following the next steps:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, please use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware. You can check: How do I update my Fitbit device? for more details.

Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.

My battery is charging; the initial Versa that was sent to me would not
hold a charge. My Versa I am referencing in this post, is a replacement to
my initial Versa. The heart rate lights are flashing. Why does the Quick
Settings screen keep flashing, without prompting? My frustration is that
these fitness trackers/smart watches should not have less than a two/
three/four year life span.

Hi Ricardo, I'm experiencing the same issues, after going swimming the quick settings kept popping up, followed all the steps you gave and the watch isn't booting back again after releasing the buttons, it's not letting me go to the signup page or updating the firmware.
Any chance you could send them an email on my behalf as well,

Much appreciated,

Izzie

I am having the exact same issue - the quick setting screen keeps popping up (even when I am trying to sleep!) and it is buzzing, so I cannot wear it to sleep (I got it to TRACK my sleep!!). I did not swim with mine - is there a way to resolve this?? I am very frustrated and tried the above directions - it did not work.

Fitbit customer service was not helpful, unless you think offering 25% off
(maybe this a more generous offer than the actual offer) on a new Fitbit is
acceptable. Fortunately, after a few months, the issue went away without
explanation. I can’t say with certainty that yours will eventually resolve
the issue. --

I just bought mine Oct 1,2022. I’m having the same issue as you. Did you get it resolved and if so how?
