I get the emails I see text messages I just cannot do anything with them.

I'll look at permissions. Currently I'm trying a factory reset to see if something went wrong during the setup.

Don't forget within the Firbit app, burried in the sub settings you can set the autoreplies message. On the Fitbit itself, you swipe down and pick "Reply" then it gives you the list of your auto replies. Provided everything else is setup.

Thanks. Master re boot didn't change anything.

I followed the permissions and selected everything I could find.

It shouldn't be this hard surely! Everything connected everything is open. I spent 2 hours on the chat today with someone.

Thanks for your reply.

Just had a development. Someone just sent a WhatsApp message and it was showing the quick replies and it worked.

Still not working for emails. But that's something.

For emails, you have to go into the email app and allow permissions for everything similar to the text app. In the fitbit app itself it has options to toggle it on in the Notifications settings. Open app, click on your peofile pic so it goes into the profile settings and scroll down to Notifications.

Scroll down through there and its among the other settings for what you want. You have to assign an email app for it to work. See my screenshots. There are two different notification areas with settings. One is for the app and one is for the watch itself.

Hello

I've checked the app on fitbit and it has permission to access everything. I checked your previous screen shot and clicked another button the one at the bottom of your screen shot.

Within Gmail there does not seem to be a way of allowing permissions from specific apps.

I'll send the screen shots if I can

I cannot see any further permissions that need to be accepted.

At least the messaging is working the email is not such a big issue, as I would not use this method that much, but the text is something I wanted.

Let's see I've had a reply from fb from yesterday.

Hello

I've heard back from FB and they have replied with this message twice.

Hi Keith,

Thanks for getting back to us.

We can confirm that at the meantime, the availability of quick reply feature includes, but isn’t limited to, apps such as:

Text messages

Twitter

Facebook

Messenger

Line

I asked does that mean that Quick Replies does not work for Emails and the reply was the same. I'm not sure what that means. In theory as I say I would probably not use quick replies to emails as that not something I do for my business, but the text service is good.

I was more concerned there is a feature that should work but does not work. I even switched to Outlook to see if it was a Gmail issue but its the same.

Still working around what the watch can and cannot do, but its a vast improvement on my charge 3.

I o ly use quick replies to my text messages. It keeps me from grabbing my phone while driving and i can just reply with "Almost there" or "be there shortly" etc. Especially if at a light on my motorcycle.
I don't use it for email or social media. That cam wait.
