I’m just curious...I understand the quick reply text function will be available for android users sometime in May for the Versa. Now will this be given to us through a software update or should I just wait till that function comes out before buying a Versa? I don’t want to buy a Versa and find out I have to buy a different version.

To reply you have to tap on the screen and then it will say REPLY but it limits you to what you can reply to and also gives you some emojis.

Hi there @Superdadof2, my apologies if my previous response did not address the issue you are experiencing.
Also keep in mind this is a friendly environment and @Myrna80 is just trying to offer you some help, I can understand your frustration since you are not able to use this feature. However try to keep this thread productive, so we can find a solution for you.
Make sure the app is updated to the most recent version. I know you mentioned all is updated, however it has been a recent release for Android users. It would not hurt to review the version of the app: Android app version 2.72 is now available - 5/17
If the issue persists, try to reset your app: log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

Thanks for replying but unfortunately I have tried all and nothing works. Again as I previously stated it worked perfect for 4 days and then the reply button turned into a read button and now will not work. So I have call,read, clear buttons. Is that normal or is my fitbit just making up buttons on it's own. I understand my options when it comes to troubleshooting and I appreciate you and your colleagues reiterating it over and over again but it doesn't seem like you guys have an answer for the problem at this time.

"I got the update. The app offered options to customize replies, then sync but when I get messages on the watch, there is no option to reply, only "clear." It doesn't have "reply" option 😥

That means your phone is not doing the sync try to restart your Bluetooth. Until you get a message that's when you tap on it and on the bottom it will say Reply and will give you the options.

I have this same issue I updated my quick responses for each app notification then synced my device thru the app and yet still only have the "clear" option when messages pop up on my fitbit versa

Hi Im really interested that your quick replies are working with Android 6. I got my fitbit versa yesterday so have only just installed the fitbit app but i am not getting the reply option and have an android 6 phone. I assumed as i bought my fitbit after the update i would have it straight away. The firmware version i have is 32.32.10.15. Should my quick replies be working? Any advice? Im getting very frustrated as this was a feature i was really hoping to have.

I have that same firmware and still nothing my next step it take to best buy and see if someone can help me I attempted everything restarting my app resetting my Bluetooth all that and nothing all I have is clear option 😕 it's really disappointing because that's mainly the reason I wanted it as well

It doesn't work with Android 7 and my compatible Samsung after the firmware and app updates. I was on the phone with CS for an hour before they admitted this. You should tell people. Troubleshooting won't work until Fitbit fixes the problem.
The function did work just as shown in your helpful post before the updates.

i was told that i couldnt reply because i dont have the update.. i got a newer phone and it works perfectly.. Galaxy S5 is listed as compatible but I didnt work.. S9 isnt listed but works perfectly!! strange
