My Versa 2 is set to Auto Wake. When I raise my arm to view the time, the screen remains black at least 50% of the time. Since this is a watch, I would expect it to show me the time any time I look at it. After all, what is the major reason for wearing a watch?

Your reply is appreciated @Marob.
The display of your Versa 2 will turn on only when you press its button of use the QuickView feature. I recommend you to see the information that's specified on: How do I see the time on my Fitbit device? and let me know if further assistance is needed.
I'll be around.

So where do I go from here? Do I have a warranty issue? Obviously I should be able to look at my watch and see the time without having to press the button.

Hello again @Marob, thanks for your update.
I do not believe that you have a warranty issue with your Versa 2 because when you set the Screen Wake to Auto (Meaning that it will be with motion), the screen will turn on when you turn your wrist. Because the device is turning on when you turn your wrist, this means that the feature is working as it should. I suggest you to wear your Fitbit on your dominant hand and let me know if the issue persists so I can further investigate this uncommon situation.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
