While researching my problem, I have found several forums discussing how this has not worked for people at all, and the solution is to advise checking the settings. I, however, do not have an issue with the reminder not working. My issue is that, since I have owned it, my Versa 3 has always told me how many steps I need toward my goal with this reminder. All of a sudden, it does not show this, it now just says "Reminder to Move". My old Charge 2 used to rarely tell me how many steps I needed, and I always hated that. Is my device broken or did I inadvertently change some setting?

It has also stopped displaying the phone number when it alerts an incoming call.

Hi @120470eal - it depends where the message is coming from. It can come from a clock face or the the Fitbit App.
To remedy, sync the watch and do a Shutdown from the watch Settings menu. Wait at least 10 seconds before placing on the charger to restart it and charge it, as a first step, and try changing clock face temporarily as the next step.
If you are keen to get your 250 steps check the gallery for clock faces that do this well, such as SimpleClockPro which takes care of this better, as the steps so far this hour are displayed on the clock face which makes it easier to check and it can give multiple reminders.

The sync/shut-down seemed to work. Thanks.
