Have you contacted Fitbit? 

You can also find bands in local stores like Target and Best Buy and very nice ones in Amazon.

i have no band to put my strap into it so do i just buy a new replacement
from amazon or do i need to buy a new fit bit watch

Yes, The band may be purchased from fitbit, Amazon, or your local Target, Best Buy, in the past I even have seen bands in 5 Below and Bed Bath and Beyond 

With the exception of the Versa 3, any band designed for the Versa line will work.
