I thought that Fitbit tracked your rhr whilst you were asleep. Yet this evening my rhr recalculate at 6-6.30pm and was lower than it had been recorded at all day. Why is it doing this?

Hello @Layne1982 and welcome to the Community.  Your Fitbit uses heart rate data from all of your time at rest, not just sleep. I've seen my RHR change during the day.  The RHR algorithm is proprietary.  So I don't think there is any way to get a firm answer to explain your experience.
