Why don't they tell you the inspire cannot be on the same account as the versa? I like switching between Fitbits. Versa is going back.

It's a shame that you've been caught out by this limitation. They give the warning in a help file:
"Note that you can't connect multiple devices that use the Fitbit App Gallery to one account. For Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Inspire series, and Fitbit Versa series, only connect one of these devices to your account at a time."
from: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1715/
But this won't ordinarily be read by a prospective buyer and there doesn't seem to any mention of it on the online store. Not sure how the could best communicate this. Putting it on the packaging would only partly work as many purchases will be online and for online purchases Fitbit is not the only vendor.
I'm sure they could do more. Just not sure what that might be.

One way it could be done is to add a comment in the description "This Fitbit does not pair with other Fitbits and must be on a separate account." Or something like that. It would appear in the description no matter where the Fitbit was being sold. I have 3 other Fitbits and have had them paired from time to time because I like to switch them out when one is on the charger....wear my Inspire when I am dressed up and want a smaller, less noticeable unit. I see posts from other people who are disappointed with this feature. I haven't completely given up on the Versa 2 because I DO want it. We'll see.
