Runs Stop Automatically after 1km

Hi everyone,

I've noticed the last few times that I've started up a run exercise on my Versa, it turns the exercise off after 1km. When I switch it back on, it lets me get to the end of the run but I'd like to keep it logged as one exercise rather than two separate ones - has this happened to anyone else?

Any help greatly appreciated - thanks!

I have been having this intermittently with my Ionic too - every now and then it just decides to stop tracking after 1km.  Did it a couple of weeks back and then again last Friday - annoyingly both during races that I did care about tracking!  Had no idea this was a known issue until found this thread.

Really annoying and has got me looking at Garmin Vivoactive 3....

I returned my versa in may and bought the Apple Watch 4 series on sale. Best decision ever and no glitches. Good luck guys!!!

Thanks for keeping the thread alive. Sorry to hear you are having the same problems. Considering it’s clearly a software issue it’s embarrassing that Fitbit can’t or worse won’t address it.

Hello, This is happening to me too. It would be great if there was a permanent fix to this. I love my Versa and want to see it win! (ie. a solution) Thanks Fitbit for all of your work and fixes to numerous problems, I really appreciate it, but this wrinkle would be best ironed out. I usually get great pride looking at my stats, but disheartening when the Fitbit cuts out. Thanks guys.

This has now happened to me on my last 2 runs. I’m starting to get very frustrated. The email I received back was unsatisfactory - I have paid for a product which at bare minimum should log a run as one run and not too. It’s clearly known about and nothing has been done to correct it. To be informed I can manually go back and fix my runs is appalling.I ensure the Fitbit app was open. I did everything the same as I have done for years. I pressed run and then start and went on my merry way. When I next looked down I was very puzzled with the screen and asked me to check activity or something. All my training for intervals/timings/distances went right down the drain. On such a hot day - it was almost negligent! I may as well have been wearing a £5 Casio watch since I have to carry my phone anyway for the connected gps.

help required - or I will be looking for money back to find a activity tracker that can actually track my activities properly!
