Someone posted that the SPO2 was intended for use in the future. Are we there yet?
Ooops let’s wait for the Google takeover.
It is RATHER disconcerting to make a claim, then renege on it.
Garmin have a slew of devices that do what FITB claimed the Ionic then the Versa could do.
I do appreciate my Versa though.
As people progress through their fitness journey they will become more demanding on themselves therefore greater feedback would benefit such progress.
Perhaps Fitbit see all their customers as being “casual” about being fit. This is not true.
Dear Fitbit are you doing a Nokia (ignoble retreat from the market place) on us loyalists?

@Ronald1 "Perhaps Fitbit see all their customers as being “casual” about being fit." - but this is exactly what Fitbit not just thinks but targets. The "casual fitness" (walking, step counting, weight loss, starting to move) seems to be a major use of Fitbit devices. When you're past the casual phase and get more serious about fitness and sports this is where you part ways with Fitbit as it has nothing more to offer. This is where you get proper GPS multi-sport watch that enables you to track your progress. I went through same process and the more fit I was getting the more I wanted in terms of features. Fitbit couldn't deliver any of those. Gradually, I stopped being a target user of Fitbit and eventually moved on. One thing I regret is getting Ionic which was expensive and died. I should have done switch to different brand after Charge 2 (inexpensive, little of features, but did the job during my casual phase).

I would LOVE an SPO2 sensor activated. There's an entry level Garmin band that has it. Considered getting one. But I already have so many smartwatches and trackers.

Hi vle045 perhaps gift/sell a few that you are not using frequently and buy just one. I’m hoping to get the Garmin First Avenger but as per DC Rainmaker the Vivoactive 4 is EXACTLY the same in features and should have a price drop. There is also a “s” which suits smaller wrists like mine. (I simply love the look of the First Avenger despite its size). Oh if you like Star Wars Garmin have the Legacy Saga series. Take Care.

Some families got one watch activated out of three or four. When my wifes Charge 3 got EOV, we took turns wearing her watch at night and determined that we probably don't have sleep apnea. I believe the next feature that could be offered is a Stress Score. This could be calculated by measuring our maximum heart rate while we are not moving. I once got a disturbing text that increased my heart rate from about 69 to 125 within a short time.
