My versa 2 stopped tracking my heart rate. I tried all of the steps that are somehow listed as the solution in the other threads on this subject and just like everyone in all of those threads who doesnt work for fitbit, they didnt work. At this point the fact that Fitbit is not only refusing to acknowledge that this issue exists but claiming that it's a different problem entirely and that their troubleshooting steps really did work even though it hasn't solved the issue for anyone who has tried them has made it impossible for me to consider it a coincidence that the issue also seems to always always always pop up on the very first update any given versa 2 gets after its 18 month birthday (at which point most warranties run out)
I'm still confused as to how stupid the executive who decided that they could sell more of their already inferior product if they make them stop working the moment the warranty expires could possibly be, but like most of the people who have had this issue which fitbit claims to have solved, I'm just going to refuse to give their company a single penny more so long as I can help it, and switch to a brand that has more apps, a better interface, and apparently also a way longer lifetime

Oh I've given up trying to find a solution to this problem. The purpose of this post is to let other fitbit users know that said solution does not exist and that fitbit as a company not only does not care but fully intended for the issue to happen in the hopes that people will just get a new one. I just want people to know so that when they do get a new watch they don't get another one that is designed to fall apart the moment the warranty expires and go with a company who isn't going to **ahem** them over.

My Versa 2 is 22 months old, and hear rate and sleep score suddenly stopped working. Where do you find solutions to try from Fitbit? I haven’t seen anything from them, only these forums??
thanks

Exactly same issue here. I've been using my Versa 2 since Nov 2019 flawlessly until few days ago when heart rate tracking stopped working altogether. I used it mostly for sleep tracking and now it's useless. Re-syncing, rebooting, factory resetting did not help.

Mines stopped working too, since last Wed after about 2.5 years. Wondering if it's an update issue as several people are having the same problem.

I’ve given up trying as well, It seem to happen that my heart rate didn’t receive anymore or monitor my sleep after the last update

Yup, I'm having this same issue, it's ridiculous. Not only irritating, but dangerous. I use it to track my heart rate when exercising, but it's either not picking up my heart rate at all or reading it significantly lower than what it is. This can cause someone to continue to push themselves to achieve their "target heart rate" when they are already at a dangerous level, due to the watch's innacurate read because rhe company's just wants more money. They're choosing greed over our health and safety. I definitely will not be buying another one!

Thanks for that, Donuts53. I tried restarting my watch at least 3 times yesterday, with no luck. Just tried again, having read your message, and lo and behold, IT WORKED!!!

A few hours later and unfortunately the watch has now stopped altogether! I have the red cross and it's not syncing. Have been on the chat with Fitbit and they're looking into it!

I got the heart rate back again but then it was constantly vibrating and draining the battery. I have not heard back from Fitbit, so i have just completed a factory reset. We'll see how that goes!

Can I ask how much discount they offered you for buying a new one?
I tried factory resetting 3 times, and even draining the battery to 0 and recharging, still nothing. Fitbit broke our heart rate tracking through update and they're the only ones who can push another update to fix it, it does not seem they are even acknowledging their own mistake.

Same problem as everyone here. Tried resetting turning on and off. HR monitor works for about 5 mins. then stops. Super frustrating.
