Scratched screen and steps recorded while driving

hi all i have versa lite

got it for my bday few weeks ago

first of all i scratched the screen on day 5 - was so gutted i refused to wear, i own iphones and ive never once damaged their screens so i do look after my things. 

so poor quality on the fit bit side. 

secondly i had 25 steps remaining just now, i got in the car and when i got out my steps had reached my target. how is this possible????

I regret to hear the screen of your Fitbit Versa Lite got scratched and that it recorded steps while driving. Thank you for your feedback. Our team is constantly working to improve the Fitbit experience. 

Your Fitbit device has been tested against driving and riding in buses, trains, and other public transportation and shouldn’t add steps when you’re traveling under normal conditions. However, if you notice extra data recorded you can negate it by manually logging Driving. For more information, please visit this article.

Regarding the scratched screen, please be aware the Fitbit Warranty does not apply to any cosmetic damage such as scratches and dents. I went ahead and created a case with Customer Support to evaluate your situation. Please check your inbox on the next days. They will let you know how to proceed as soon as possible.
