Hi,
I loved my Fitbit Ionic but it died and now I have a brand new Versa2. I've charged it but am at a total loss as to what to do next! I don't want to uninstall the Fitbit app on my iPhone as the first thing it says is that I'll lose all my data (is that true?). And it's not appearing in Bluetooth 'devices' as an option to pair with. Any help much appreciated!

Hi @JemmaBart , to setup your Versa 2, you do not have to remove the Fitbit app from your phone. Put your Versa 2 in the charger and connect it to your PC/laptop. Go to the Fitbit app and press in the dashboard of it on top of the screen on the left side, your account info and scroll down to "Add a new Device", press that and choose Versa 2. It will ask you if the Versa 2 has to replace the Ionic and press "yes". The only data you will loose are the one between the death of the Ionic and the setup of the Versa 2. For the rest the setup is the same as for the Ionic. One wordt of advice: when during the setup "WiFi settings" appear, install these directly since downloading and installing of Fitbit iOS on your Versa 2 will be faster than over BT. Good luck and regards kuzibri

Hi @JemmaBart , no you do not need to have the app on your laptop, just on your phone. After starting the setup, e.g. pressing "Adding Device" and choosing Versa 2, the Fitbit app will search for your Versa 2. Once found you will see a four digit number in the dispaly of your Versa 2 and enter that into the Fitbit app, press next and continue with the setup. Regards kuzibri

All setup is done through the Fitbit app. There is nothing a user can do through the phones Bluetooth to setup the tracker.
