How is the Versa 2 skin temperature personal range established?

I was literally diagnosed with COVID yesterday, and my skin temp was much higher than anything in my 90-day average. However, the personal range seems to have updated to include this new reading. Today, still way above my normal range, the app says my skin temp is normal and within personal range, though I still have a fever and the skin temp measurement in the app is well above a full 2 points from anything in the last 90 days.

How is this useful to anyone? A 100 degree F fever (internal temp), and my skin temp jumping according by 2-4 points is not normal. What a waste of a feature...

My phone is a Samsung Ultra S22, and Fitbit is the Versa 2, not that it matters for this specific post.

Are you sure you are talking about about internal body temperature, not skin temperature?

ETA:  I agree it does seem 2 degrees above anything in 90 days does seem it should be out of range.

Take care and get well.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thank you! Just edited. Definitely talking about the skin temp feature (don't think there is an internal body temp feature). Thank you for pointing that out so I could revise accordingly.
