Sleep tracker inconsistent

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My versa 2 SE tracks my sleep fairly accurate at night.

Sometimes I take a nap in the afternoon, the first two times since I have the watch it did not track my naps at all. Today it tracked my nap, but at a totally incorrect time. The watch is set in sleep mode at that time so I wouldn't get disturbed in case my phone rings or I get a txt message.

What is better set it in "do not disturb" mode or "sleep" mode, and how can I improve the sleep tracking?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SunsetRunner. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern regarding your tracking being inconsistent. Thank you for providing the additional details. Autodetection is based on your movement and I recommend doing the following:

1. Please confirm that your sleep settings are normal and not sensitive: What is the difference between the normal and sensitive sleep setting in the Fitbit app?

2. Try sleeping with the watch on your non-dominant hand if you haven't been doing it already

3. Confirm that the watch is snug on your wrist

Please note that your Fitbit device detects and records naps that are at least an hour long. It is possible to correct the sleep record from your dashboard by following the steps from this help article:How do I edit, or delete sleep logs in the Fitbit app?

You can find more information about tracking sleep here

Regarding your concern, you can check the difference between "do not disturb" mode or "sleep" mode here

I'll be around if you need further assistance.
