Does anyone use the spinning option in exercise and get pathetic step counts even though heart rate is up ? I only get 1-2 thousand steps per hour class while walking Igor an hour can be more than double that!

Steps  are detected from the normal swinging of the arms as while walking.  If your wrists are steady on hand grip while spinning, nothing on wrist can see the motion.  But your heart rate will be elevated and that will give you active minutes and calories burned.

Steps are often a convenient indicator of activity when most of one's exercise is walking, but some activities are just not really step-based.

Thanks, I guess I was hoping that Fitbit had the technology within that setting to count my cycle revolutions rather that wrist movement ....
