Spotify Deal with Samsung?

Hi, does the Spotify partnership with Samsung announced today mean the end of any chance of Fitbit Versa having it onboard? Obviously the Gear 3 has offline support and now the Galaxy watch too (looks nice also)

 

Watching the stream it seemed they are perhaps trying to take on Apple + Apple Music, wonder if they will entertain Fitbit going forward? If not I think it's a bad day for Fitbit personally, Deezer or uploading mp3s isn't the future.. well not for me

Boy I hope they don’t integrate that tightly. But it’s possible. Spotify intergration with Fitbit would really take things up a great deal. It’s the missing link actually.

To me it looks like they are definitely going all in with Samsung, not sure what incentive there would be to develop integration with Fitbit as they will now be the default music app on the Galaxy Watches / Bixby etc.. I'm probably wrong mind and doubtful Fitbit would ever say that 🙂
