Spotify HR on Versa?

So I learned the Versa has this app, the Spotify HR. Does that mean I can play Spotify music on the Versa that’s Bluetoothed to my phone and control the music settings, and the app on the Versa?

I'm happy to answer your questions about how Spotify HR works on your Fitbit Versa. According to the app description this is a remote controller for your Spotify account and you should be able to:

- Remote control music playback

- Change playlist

- Volume control

As far as I understand from the app description, the app will shuffle music based on your heartbeat.  How can I use it with workout tracking?  It looks to me like it doesn't stay on when switched to the workout tracking.

Yeah, you are right, Spotify HR has implemented a heart rate based shuffle feature. Since this is an app developed by a different developer, I would recommend reaching out them directly to get more information. Please tap Account > Versa > Apps > Spotify HR and scroll down until you find the link "Contact Developer".

So I got the app on my Versa and have them synced together but that’s as far as it goes. I try to pause my music using the watch and it pauses on the versa screen but doesn’t pause the actual music then it unpauses on the versa screen. Whatever I do in the app has no effect on my actual Spotify

When you start an excercise tracking program it's not possible to run additional apps. Pretty frustrating. It's one or the other. I'd love to run Spotify HR with the workout program but they don't currently allow it.

Hey Sarah! Not sure if anyone has actually helped you out. Spotify HR for the fitbit device acts as a Controller. It doesnt allow you to play music to a bluetooth device like headphones if they were to be hooked up to your watch. However, in order to use the app as if they were hooked up, your watch must be connected to your phone via bluetooth.

After, you must have the Spotify app of course, but any bluetooth headphones would have to be paired to your phone instead of your watch, that way when you use the Spotify controls on the Versa, it acts as if you are controlling the music through your headphones instead of actually having to use your phone!

Add On: And your phone will have to be in vicinity of your watch, and sadly you cant use some other apps on your watch while having Spotify HR active.
