Versa 2 looping and not reset

Been with Fitbit a long time and had various watches. My Versa 2 (had been a great watch) started to loop endlessly between logo and dark (many of us have this issue it seems). After looking here and contacting Help (not sure if that's the right name) it appears a discount code is sent out only, no actual help, no way out of it, just buy a NEW one we are told. A new Versa 2 with the "Discount" applied is only £12.50 less than it would cost at Argos or Amazon!

Thank you, it would appear that since “they” voted Brexit we’ve lost something else in the UK. EEA two years, UK one year warranty. 😬
