Hi, I have recently received a Versa 2. My job is unpacking boxes, stacking shelves and working on a till. My versa is basically counting steps for every time I scan an item on the till or open a box so is vastly inflated. Would I be better to log this as exercise during the period when doing these tasks. (What exercise would I log as)
I really want to get good stats but feel at the minute it bears no reflection.
I have it set to dominant and wear on non dominant.
Thanks

Just a thought
You could try turning off auto wake, it may make a difference if its not woken on movement, will save battery too.
Re Steps. It was chosen as a measure of activity, and later distance, its not that important if the activity is with the arms. Agreed it not physical steps, but it does record how active your have been. Surely its a good thing.

@BarleyD -
This is a common issue with individuals working in warehouses, stores and such, as the accelerometer in the device is tricked by the arm movements into thinking you are indeed walking. Some "desk workers" also experience the false step issue.
About the only workaround that "works", is to book a driving exercise during periods of stocking shelves and working the till. Be aware that actual steps taken will also be ignored, not just the fake ones, but the lost of a dozen or so while at the till will be offset by what are probably hundreds of false steps you are now getting.
Give it a try and see if it helps.
Just remember to end the "driving exercise" when you want steps to be counted again.
Good luck and welcome to the boards.
